You can't face winter without our legendary Bonka bib tights: their racing design, combined with the guarantee of total thermal insulation, keeps you riding in the most extreme weather conditions, season after season. We knew there were still some details that could be improved—for example, greater localized protection combined with increased stability, all while reducing the overall weight of the garment—and with the EQUIPE RS Winter Bib Tights S9, we've achieved these goals.

To begin, we've adapted our proven A-Lock Engineering system to tights. This support system ensures the full fit of thicker fabrics, activating your muscles and enveloping them, hour after hour, in a light, compressive hold. This new range of products keeps the pad in place thanks to ergoBox seams and external rollBar bib straps, ensuring your hips stay fully supported on the pad as you move in the saddle and shift your body weight.

For winter materials, we've used our trusted twinDeck double-layer construction to protect the knees, thighs, crotch, and hips, combining our ultralight, membrane-equipped, double-layer SPHERE Ultra with the insulation of brushed OSMOs Heavy fabric; for the outer back, we've added our thicker SPHERE Medium fabric. Developed in the lab, these waterproof and windproof fabrics provide targeted protection for all relevant areas of the body without compromising breathability.

For the insert, we added our race-proven EQUIPE RS, but without the kraterCooler vents, in the signature basalt colorway, featuring superAir microShock foam, a 3D waffle topsheet and ASSOS-exclusive goldenGate technology.

SPHERE Ultra: Used for the twinDeck double-layer construction applied to the front in the crotch area: combined with OSMOS Heavy, it offers additional thermal insulation. A patented, double-layer, waterproof, windproof, and highly breathable softshell fabric with a taped polyurethane membrane for additional water repellency – maximizing thermal insulation while also minimizing bulk. Weight: 140 g/ m2 ; breathability: MVP 40,000 g/ m2 / 24 h; water column: > 10,000 mm; elasticity: bidirectional.

SPHERE Medium: Used for the upper back, this is the thickest version of the SPHERE. It is a patented, triple-layer, windproof and highly breathable softshell fabric with a taped polyurethane membrane for additional water repellency. Weight: 320 g/ m2 ; breathability: MVP 20,000 g/ m2 / 24 h; water column: > 10,000 mm; elasticity: four-way.

blasenSchutz: This part, which covers the abdomen and groin area, is made from highly breathable, windproof and waterproof SPHERE Ultra material for superior comfort and warmth.

rollBar: A patented system, designed to offer support, that emulates the anti-roll bars of racing cars by using the straps of the bibs to stabilize the pad and keep it in place every time you take a corner and shift your body weight from right to left.

ergoBox: A raised checkered structure that effectively locks the case back into place, recessing it for greater stability.

Carbon Xbib: A single section of stretchy material folded over itself to form a supportive A-frame, providing limited vertical stretch in the back. Just above the X-junction, we've used a more flexible material, incorporating an antibacterial carbon fiber weave, to wick moisture and ensure it lies flat across the front.

Heat-taped seams: Present on the front of the panels to increase the waterproof properties of the tights.

DWR: We finished the tights with our Durable Water Repellent (DWR) finish to add an extra layer of protection against the elements.

waterBarrier: Our outermost layer of Geoprene applied to the lower leg to protect from water and adhere to shoe covers.

EQUIPE RS Winter Insert: Racing pad with elastic interface in basalt color, three-dimensional effect, without the kraterCooler ventilation holes on the front.

kukuPenthouse: A layer of soft OSMOS Heavy fabric added to the front of the pad to support the male anatomy, eliminate pressure and increase ventilation.

SuperAir microShock foam: An ultra-lightweight open-cell foam, with a composition capable of absorbing impacts and returning to its original position, filling the empty spaces every time you change position on the saddle by shifting your weight.

3D waffle: A patented, three-layer perforated foam that increases breathability and eliminates excess weight.

goldenGate: A patented technology that interrupts the seams along both side panels of the seat pad, offering more three-dimensional freedom of movement in this sensitive area that is often subject to rotational movements.

Reflective strips: Apply to the back of the calves for greater visibility.

aeroFit: Our slimmest, speed-focused fit, even closer and more compressive than RacingFit. It feels restrictive off-bike, but feels like a second skin when you're riding.
