The MILLE GTO bib shorts represent the pinnacle of total comfort in the MILLE GT line: they are the spiritual successors to the legendary CENTO and Campionissimo bib shorts. They feature ASSOS's softest, most responsive, and most breathable chafe-free seat pad, wrapped in our new crease-resistant panels. The GTO is available in two leg lengths: STANDARD VERSION and LONG VERSION (3cm longer than the standard version).

INSIDE THE PRODUCT

At ASSOS, we understand that lack of support for large muscles, friction, and excessive pressure are the main enemies of long rides. That's why we created the GTO shorts: a true revolution compared to the conventional construction of bib shorts. We used recessed seams on the back and a completely new shaped insert to eliminate chafing and pressure in the genital area. The cut and fabric provide unparalleled muscle support, with an impeccable fit that stays close to the body thanks to the crease-free construction at the legs.

THE SPECIAL FEATURES

FEATURED FABRICS

OSSIDIA, the main fabric of these shorts, offers the ideal balance between chafe-free comfort and muscle support. The warp-knit fabric is composed of very high-gauge polyamide and elastomer yarns to ensure breathability and muscle compression, enveloping the lower back and thighs with a pleasant softness against the skin. The front panel is made of LOSANGA, a new fabric developed by ASSOS to eliminate pressure on sensitive areas.

CONSTRUCTION/FIT

For the braces and leg panels, we've used rollBar technology and a butterfly panel to ensure stability. Each leg panel is enhanced by the LouvreTec structure, with specific darts on the outer thighs, to provide a compressive and customized fit. The GTO is available in two different leg lengths: STANDARD VERSION and LONG VERSION (3 cm longer than the standard version).

zeroWaist: Belt with a reinforced, raw-cut edge that prevents chafing between the fabric and the skin. Greater comfort with less pressure.

superFlat X-FRAME: a single portion of elastic folded over on itself, which forms a support X-structure, with the aim of limiting vertical elasticity in the back.

SkinGrip finish: raw cut edge with a very thin silicone application, which keeps the shorts in place without applying excessive pressure.

MILLE GTO c2 Insert Caseback: Created with our proven goldenGate technology, it's free of side seams and features the necessary recessed seams for friction-free comfort. For the front, we used the new, super-light sunDeck, successor to the iconic kukuPenthouse: a super-soft, foam-free fabric that's pre-shaped to support the human body and ensure maximum ventilation. Furthermore, this pad features the twin21 System, consisting of three different layers:

microShock: The base of the pad is made of an ultra-light foam with a thickness of 11 millimetres and a highly shock-absorbing composition.

filterFoam: Between the microShock layer and the 3D waffle, we inserted a 10mm thick low-density matrix foam to completely absorb microvibrations. The open-cell structure allows excess sweat to be wicked away.

3D waffle: In contact with the skin we have a patented, perforated, three-layer foam, which increases breathability and reduces excess weight.

WHEN/HOW TO USE THIS PRODUCT

We recommend wearing the GTO bib shorts for longer rides and if you want to optimize your Layering System, combine them with the Skin Layer and jersey most suited to the contingent weather conditions, for maximum thermoregulation and stay dry from head to toe.
