Gabba was created for riding in the rain, so priority was given to water protection rather than breathability. If this is not your case, we can offer you a more breathable jacket, ideal for dry days. The secret lies in Castelli’s Ristretto technology. The term "engineered air impermeability" refers to fabrics that are mostly windproof but allow a very small amount of air to pass through to wick away more sweat and keep you drier. But how much air? DO.DI.CI., like the number 12, because this jacket offers 12 times more air permeability than the old Gabba. It's the same difference as hanging your shorts in a cold, damp room versus drying them in a light breeze. The fabric is extremely stretchy for an unparalleled fit. And what about when it rains? The fabric doesn't hold road spray much, but you can stash an Ultra Rain Cape or a Squall Shell Jacket in the center pocket if you think it might rain during your ride.
