The project started from a blank sheet of paper in the Castelli product development office and a simple question: what does the modern cyclist really need to achieve maximum performance in cold weather? We pushed our partner Polartec® to go further, and together, we developed a technology designed around the needs of today's cyclist. Polartec® AirCore™ is a revolutionary PFAS-free membrane, made via electrospinning and partially air-permeable, designed to protect cyclists in cool temperatures and in the presence of possible light rain. In line with our continuous pursuit of improvement, we are introducing the exclusive Polartec® AirCore™ fabric in the new 219g weight, which offers the Perfetto 4 even more warmth and protection. The Perfetto jacket has always been immediately recognizable on the road. The iconic shoulder tape has been updated with a more modern aesthetic, thanks to a transparent chameleon-effect tape that allows the underlying main fabric to show through. The Polartec® AirCore™ fabric increases its effectiveness as the intensity of effort increases, making the traditional zippered ventilation openings of the Perfetto unnecessary. The Perfetto 4 Jacket also features a new ergonomic tail, designed to effectively protect against road spray. As a nod to the original Gabba, we've added metal drainage holes to the rear pockets. For the cyclist seeking maximum performance, Perfetto 4 achieves a higher level of comfort.
