OSPW RS ALPHA for Shimano 9250/8150

With our OSPW RS for Shimano Road groupsets, we're bringing OSPW into the future with a decidedly modern, angular design. The updated design lends balance and sophistication to the OSPW system, allowing it to seamlessly integrate with contemporary bike and groupset design trends, which form the whole of which the OSPW system is a part.

With an added level of customization (various logo and pulley options) combined with new and innovative technological features, the OSPW RS meets consumers' need for personal expression and a premium riding experience. The OSPW RS is a statement of where we've been and where we're going: always ahead of the curve.

Active Debris Removal (ADR)
ADR is a patent-pending technical feature based on a unique combination that makes it virtually impossible for debris to enter the bearing. It consists of a new dust cover design that anchors securely in a groove in the pulley, completely enclosing the bearing.

This is combined with a blade-like groove structure that surrounds the dust cover, dynamically extracting debris from the pulley as it rotates.

The ADR was developed in a continuous exchange between our research and development department, the CeramicSpeed ​​test laboratory and field testing conducted by a select group of our professional off-road teams.

ALPHA Disc
For our new OSPW RS, we offer versions featuring the ultra-durable ALPHA Disc pulley, first introduced with our OSPW X drivetrain for Eagle.

The ALPHA disc features a two-piece construction. It features a separate narrow-wide tooth profile made of a composite material that provides long-lasting wear protection and noise reduction. The disc is also made of solid aluminum, which eliminates the risk of foreign objects getting stuck between the pulley spokes, while also adding strength and rigidity to the pulley design.

Early versions of our solid disc pulley design were field-tested during the Cyclocross World Cup a couple of years ago. During the 2022 Cyclocross season, our sponsored Tormans team used the solid disc design extensively and provided valuable feedback on its ability to ensure adequate mud clearance in the most adverse conditions.
