HOPE V4 Vented Floating Rotor Brake Disc Internally Ventilated 203mm | Silver

The newly developed, internally ventilated V4 floating brake disc was developed specifically for the Hope Tech 4 V4 and Tech 3 V4 braking systems. The disc consists of two friction surfaces connected by fins, allowing airflow between the friction surfaces. This design allows for significantly improved cooling. On the test bench, Hope measured 15% less heating of the internally ventilated V4 disc compared to a simple floating rotor. Furthermore, the design ensures significantly better braking performance in wet conditions because water can be displaced more quickly through the inside of the friction rings.

The lightweight aluminum spider increases rotor rigidity and improves heat dissipation. The stainless steel braking surface is riveted to the aluminum spider, allowing it to expand and contract without deforming the rotor.
