Designed for performance and comfort from road to cyclocross and cross-country, the Antares R1 Adaptive reduces weight thanks to a newly developed 7x9mm carbon frame.
3D PRINTED PADDING: Fizik’s 3D printed Adaptive Padding has been extended to the Antares family, creating the perfect solution for those who want exceptional, long-lasting comfort in a low-profile, high-performance saddle, designed to allow a more connected feel for optimal pedalling efficiency and power transfer.
CUSTOM ZONAL CUSHIONING: The evolution of digital 3D printing has allowed us to develop a new saddle free from the constraints or limitations imposed by traditional manufacturing methods and materials. The Adaptive saddle padding is made by Carbon® using its revolutionary Digital Light Synthesis™ technology. DLS is an additive manufacturing process that uses digital ultraviolet light projection, oxygen-permeable optics, and programmable liquid resins to produce parts with excellent mechanical properties, resolution, and surface finish.
LAB TESTED, ROAD PROVEN: Thanks to Carbon® technology, biomechanics and engineers have an unprecedented opportunity: to design and manufacture multiple functional zones within the saddle, each individually optimized for specific mechanical properties. Each of these key functional zones is designed for distinctive cushioning and mechanical response, progressively and seamlessly integrated into the same padding. The result? A 60% reduction in peak pressure thanks to improved weight distribution, for superior comfort across the entire surface of the saddle.
