The Taipan S uses the Taipan's fiberglass-reinforced thermoplastic body and CrMo axle, scaled down: a 95 x 80 mm platform with a 52 mm Q-factor that brings the feet closer together. This is the ideal geometry for teenagers, young cyclists and adults with smaller feet and, weighing just 325 g per pair, it is the lightest pedal produced by Funn.

Each side features four stamped pins and six replaceable alloy pins with rounded tips. Especially on a youth bike, a pedal slip should cause a bruise to the shin, not a cut. It shares the pin kit with the standard-sized Taipan.
