Tech 4 V4: The Tech 4 V4 builds on our over 25 years of experience designing and manufacturing hydraulic brake systems. The Tech 4 uses a new internal seal to reduce friction, and the pivot pivot runs on roller bearings, allowing for a lower spring rate. The lower spring rate, in turn, provides lighter lever action, reducing rider fatigue while maintaining our legendary feel and modulation.
The updated V4 caliper utilizes hybrid-style stainless steel pistons with a phenolic insert that allows for smoother movement and less maintenance, while still being able to handle high temperatures without heat transfer during extreme use.
