The new Roval Rapide Cockpit is more than just the fastest way to the finish line. It's the fastest machine of attack we've ever made, with a massive aero advantage, shaving an additional four watts from the lightning-fast Rapide bar and Tarmac stem combo. But giving you a race-winning advantage takes more than pure aerodynamics. The goal for the Roval engineering team was simple: the Rapide Cockpit had to be the fastest bar we've ever made, without compromise. It's aerodynamic, lightweight, stiff, and designed in collaboration with the world's best athletes and our Retül Fit experts, so you can claim victory.

AERODYNAMICS: Removing the connecting components between the stem and handlebar allowed us to design the handlebar profile in a wing-like fashion. We optimized this airfoil to provide the maximum advantage in clean air at speeds found in long solo breakaways and even all-out World Tour sprints. While a four-watt improvement may seem small, it translates into a 32cm advantage over a 250m sprint finish. When races are won by launching the bike, that's a winning difference.

LIGHT AND STIFF: By removing the stem-to-bar connection components, the Cockpit Rapide is 50 grams lighter (100mm x 420mm) than the Rapide bar and Tarmac stem combination. Crafted from premium high-modulus carbon fiber, which provides the ideal stiffness for the biggest and fastest sprinters on the World Tour, the Cockpit Rapide has a higher stiffness-to-weight ratio than any two-piece system we've ever made.

POSITION: The downside of one-piece cockpits has long been positioning, but we've partnered with our Retül Fit pros and top athletes to ensure nearly every rider can find their perfect fit. We offer 15 different stem and handlebar combinations, all at -6 degrees, so we've covered most race positions. The radius from top to bottom has been sculpted for wrist freedom whether out of the saddle or tucked into an aero position, while the bend and flare mirror our favorite Rapide handlebar.
