Ultimate Tubeless Setup Kit
The Muc-Off Ultimate Tubeless Setup Kit contains everything you need to get a tubeless-ready wheelset prepared and ready to roll. Each Kit contains a Muc-Off Tubeless Rim Tape, Seal Patches, 2x CNC-machined Black Tubeless Valves and 2 Pouches of No Puncture Hassle Tubeless Sealant.
With 5 kits available for:
Road/Gravel/Cyclocross with shallow rims (44mm Tubeless Valves & 21mmx10m Rim Tape)
Road/Gravel/Cyclocross with deep rims (60mm Tubeless Valves & 21mmx10m Rim Tape)
XC (44mm Tubeless Valves & 25mmx10m Rim Tape)
Downhill/Enduro (44mm Tubeless Valves & 30mmx10m Rim Tape)
Wide Downhill (44mm Tubeless Valves & 35mmx10m Rim Tape)
HOW TO USE
1. Remove your old rim tape or flap and clean the rim.
2. Make sure the rim is clean and dry before applying tape.
3. Take the tape from the packaging and line it up from the opposite side of the valve.
4. Start by unwinding a small amount of tape and press it down with your thumb or finger to hold it in place.
5. Continue to hold it down whilst pulling the tape back and adhere it tight; once you have a few cm, the tape will stick and no longer need holding.
6. Continue all the way around the rim (if it has a deep concave, you can pull and wiggle the tape to fill any edges).
7. Overlap the tape by about 10 – 15cm.
8. Leave a small part unattached so you can cut the remainder.
9. Once cut, flatten and pull the tape to create a seal.
10. Run your thumb around the rim to make sure there are no air bubbles or poorly placed areas.
11. Once you are happy with the placement, use a small pin to locate the valve hole and cleanly pierce the tape, ready for the valve.
12. Take your Tubeless valve and remove the lock ring and O-ring.
13. Select the correct rubber grommet for your rim tape and feed the valve through the rim.
14. Re-attach the O-ring and lock ring, ensuring you lock the valve down tight (do not overtighten or you may damage the rubber).
15. Re-fit your chosen tyre, being careful not to damage the tape (by using tyre levers etc.).
16. Inflate the tyre to bead the tyre (you should hear some ‘pops’ around the rim)
17. Deflate and remove the valve core using the spare valve cap.
18. Take your pouch of sealant and give it a good shake.
19. Unscrew the cap and screw it onto your valve in an upright position.
20. Holding the pouch, rotate the wheel so the pouch is upside down.
21. Squeeze the sealant in by compressing the pouch.
22. Rotate the wheel upright and remove the pouch.
23. Re-insert your valve core and inflate to your desired pressure.
