Ultimate Tubeless Setup Kit
The Muc-Off Ultimate Tubeless Setup Kit contains everything you need to get a tubeless-ready wheelset prepped and ready to roll. Each Kit contains a Muc-Off Tubeless Rim Tape, Seal Patches, 2 x Black CNC-machined Tubeless Valves and 2 Pouches of No Puncture Hassle Tubeless Sealant.
With 5 kits available for:
Road/Gravel/Cyclocross with low profile rims (44mm Tubeless Valves and 21mmx10m Rim Tape)
Road/Gravel/Cyclocross with deep profile rims (60mm Tubeless Valves and 21mmx10m Rim Tape)
XC (44mm Tubeless Valves and 25mmx10m Rim Tape)
Downhill/Enduro (44mm Tubeless Valves and 30mmx10m Rim Tape)
Wide Downhill (44mm Tubeless Valves and 35mmx10m Rim Tape)
HOW TO USE IT
1. Remove old rim flap or tape and clean rim.
2. Make sure the rim is clean and dry before applying tape.
3. Take the tape from the pack and align it from the opposite side of the valve.
4. Start by unrolling a small amount of tape and press it down with your thumb or finger to hold it in place.
5. Continue to hold down as you pull the tape back and apply good tension; once you have a few cm, the tape will stick, and you won't need to hold it anymore.
6. Continue all the way around the rim (if it has a deep concave, you can pull and wiggle the tape to fill any edges).
7. Overlap the tape by around 10 – 15cm.
8. Leave a small section unattached so you can cut the rest off.
9. Once cut, flatten and pull the tape to create a seal.
10. Run your thumb around the rim to make sure there are no air bubbles or poorly placed areas.
11. Once happy with the result, use a small pin to locate your valve hole and pierce the tape cleanly, ready for your valve.
12. Take your Tubeless valve and remove the lock ring and O-ring.
13. Choose the right rubber adapter for your rim tape and feed the valve through the rim.
14. Reattach the O-ring and locking ring, making sure to lock the valve on tightly (do not over-tighten, or you could damage the rubber).
15. Re-fit your favourite tyre, being careful not to damage the tape (using tyre levers etc).
16. Inflate the tyre to bead it (you should hear some 'pops' around the rim)
17. Deflate and remove the valve core using the spare valve cap.
18. Take your sealant pouch and give it a good shake.
19. Unscrew the cap and screw onto the valve in the upright position.
20. Holding the pouch, rotate the wheel down so the pouch is now upside down.
21. Squeeze in the sealant by squashing the pouch.
22. Rotate the wheel back to an upright position and remove the pouch.
23. Re-insert your valve core and inflate to your desired pressure.
