The light filtering through the human eye is divided into the visible spectrum, with wavelengths between 380 and 780 nm, and the non-visible spectrum, which includes light in the ultraviolet (UV) and infrared (IR) ranges. The blue component of light between 380 and 500 nm is also known as high-energy visible (HEV) light. Lenses with a blue light filter create a "sensation" in wearers due to the effect of the chemicals and oxides used in the dyes and colored coatings. This treatment stimulates the retina's receptor cells, creating a sensation in the brain for each specific lens color. The colors are seen as "pop" and are suitable for any type of sporting activity. In particular, red, green, and yellow are able to filter through the treated lenses, creating greater contrast, better separation of visible colors, and a greater sense of depth. The result ensures faster reactions and better performance for those who wear them.
