The Trail Cargo Shorts take the concept of adaptable, all-mountain shorts to the next level with optimized tailoring and integrated materials. Designed with a waistband that keeps the shorts in place seamlessly, a close-fitting fit in the crotch area to prevent snagging, an ideal length with or without pads, and a new, versatile material that flexes with every pedal stroke.

Looking at other baggier shorts, we noticed how their panels rolled up in strange places, and the addition of zippers, webbing, and zips contributed to unnecessary weight and irritation while riding. Our minimalist approach uses an adaptable fabric for the primary panels, one that is equally durable and lightweight. More specifically, it is a woven fabric with two-way stretch that is extremely aligned in terms of composition, thus resulting in a comfortable and quick-drying material that is durable on dirt trails.

Having cracked half the formula for these shorts, we put the fit under the ASSOS microscope, creating a form-fitting upper body that starts with a high-stretch panel at the waist to hug it snugly and comfortably without adding unnecessary pressure. Moving further down, we've secured the circumference of the top of the shorts on either side of the crotch to ensure the bib can float between the legs, without any materials that are guaranteed to get caught. We then gave the lower part of the shorts a more relaxed cut, extending the length of the inseam up to 31 cm to make them ideal both with and without padding. We recommend pairing them with the Trail Liner Shorts for all-mountain coverage.
