Using data science, we've refined every detail of the S-Works Torch upper for improved fit and unparalleled performance. The BOA® cable is moved downward and angled, preventing forefoot lift. This evolution eliminates the need for a Velcro strap, while providing a power-enhancing structure and eliminating unwanted pressure or pinching. Adaptive materials allow the foot to move naturally where needed for increased comfort, while data-driven zonal reinforcement keeps the foot locked in for crisp power output and optimal efficiency.

Guided by over 100,000 foot scans of our RETÜL data, we determined that both a standard and a wide sole would best accommodate the full spectrum of human foot shapes. An internal reinforcement adds rigidity and strength. The result is a 20-gram weight reduction, increased efficiency, and immediate power transfer.

Again based on RETÜL data, we determined that more space was needed to accommodate the Achilles tendon for increased comfort. We solved this problem by creating an asymmetrical heel cup that offered more space while maintaining excellent connection. This ensured optimal knee alignment and greater comfort.

Based on Retül data collected from foot scans, we designed a sole that is 4mm wider than the S-Works 7 model.
We optimized the shape of the carbon sole by adding a reinforcement and eliminating the accumulation of unnecessary material around the perimeter. The result is a 20-gram weight reduction, increased efficiency, and immediate power transfer.

An asymmetrical heel cup supports the medial and allows for the removal of material from the lateral sides and the use of a lower collar.
